- zuser20150217145343789We quite literally could not have done anything without Jean! We purchased our home in Anchorage somewhat remotely from Rhode Island - after just one house tour during a whirlwind trip, we fell in love and put ourselves in Jean's capable hands to handle the rest from afar. As first time homeowners we were pretty clueless and she was not only patient and empathetic, but she guided us through every step with the precision and follow-through that made it clear it was not her first (or 1,000th) rodeo. I cried after we signed the paperwork because she just made it all so easy. She was honest during the house search process if she didn't feel like it was a great deal, then advised us on the sale negotiations and what's typical, gave a thorough list of contractors to work with in case of emergencies, and even organized (and personally paid) to have our lawn cut a few times before we could actually move in. She did all of this while dealing with some personal stuff and a heavy travel schedule that would have made it completely understandable if she needed to bail at any point in the process -- but she didn't. She was reliable and I knew I could count on her to follow through every time. We're so very grateful we found her - I can't say enough wonderful things about Jean! Anyone would be lucky to work with her!
- zuser20170625110620860Jean was the most forthcoming and knowledgeable realtor I spoke with when interviewing who to help me sell my home. She clearly outlined her marketing plans and accurately provided comparables to show my home's worth. She goes above and beyond the typical realtor. I felt confident throughout the process with Jean leading the sale. I was working hard to complete improvements which would increase my home's value prior to listing. While doing so she was communicating her efforts in marketing, (professional) photography, sneak peeks, and continuous comparable analysis. This made me feel like my hard work was being matched and it was encouraging! During the process after we pended, Jean caught things that helped me make the best decision in a very competitive market. I think had she not have been meticulous with paperwork things could have been more difficult. As a result of her amazing marketing plan, attention to detail, and quick responses, we pended fast and closed in less than 25 days. This was the smoothest transaction our family could have hoped for. I recommend Jean Santiago to everyone who truly wants a realtor who will care and go above and beyond for what's best for you (and your families).
- nancy davila amayaI can't recommend Jean Santiago from Elite Real Estate Group highly enough! Working with her was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Jean went above and beyond to help us both purchase our new home and now selling it. She was always available to answer any questions we had and provided us with expert advice throughout the entire process. What really stood out to us was Jean's commitment to getting us the best possible outcome. She tirelessly worked to negotiate the best deals for us and always had our best interests at heart. Even after we closed on our new home, Jean continued to check in with us to make sure we were settling in okay.Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Jean and the Elite Real Estate Group. If you're looking for a realtor who will go above and beyond for you, look no further than Jean Santiago!
- maria v clarkJean did a wonderful job during the entire process of selling our home. She was very responsive and timely with all aspects. She had knowledge and answers to every question we threw at her. She is also very well connected with the different people needed do repairs and other things outside of her line of expertise. Jean is very professional and also has a great down to earth personality. We would highly recommend and will use her again if we ever go back to Alaska.
- geovaniipacheco1We enlisted Jean’s services for the purchase of our home in 2019 while I was stationed in Hungary and were so thankful for her services that when it came to selling our home in 2022, asking Jean to represent us again was a no brainer. Her knowledge about the local area helped us pick a neighborhood that always felt safe and was perfect for our family. Throughout the entire process, she made herself available for every text/call/email that we needed and was extremely knowledgeable about the process of buying and selling a home. This made it extremely less stressful and as comfortable of process as I could ask for. As first time buyers and sellers my wife and I were extremely grateful to have a real estate agent like Jean, whose services to her clients are truly second to none. The display of care and professionalism by Jean throughout our partnership to buy and sell are truly going to be missed as we venture back to Georgia, and we hope that our next agent could be just as amazing as she is!

How to set up a Productive Work from Home Routine
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about drastic changes in the way people work. While staying at home gives some benefits such as avoiding the daily commute, setting up a work from home routine can be challenging for many individuals. Working from home requires focus, discipline, and consistency to ensure that you are productive and efficient in your work. In this blog post, we will provide you with tips and strategies on how to establish a productive work from home routine. Plan and organize your day One way to set up a work from home routine is to plan and organize your activities for the day. Create a list of tasks you need to accomplish and prioritize them accordingly. This will help you stay on track and avoid procrastination. You can use a planner or an app like Asana or Trello to organize your to-do lists. Allocate specific hours for each task and take breaks in between to avoid mental fatigue. Create a designated workspace Create a workspace that is solely dedicated to your work. This will help you get into the right mindset and avoid distractions. Choose a quiet corner in your house where you can work without interruptions. Make sure your workspace is ergonomically designed for your comfort. Invest in a good chair, desk, and lighting to prevent strain and discomfort. Having a designated workspace can help you get into a routine of working and create a boundary between your work and personal life. Dress up for work Even though you are working from home, it is essential to dress up for work. This simple action can set the tone for a productive day. Dressing up can help you get into a professional mindset and enhance your confidence. You don't have to wear business attire, but avoid working in your pajamas. Dressing up can help you create a demarcation between your work from home and personal life. Schedule breaks and exercise Scheduling breaks in between work is essential to give your body and mind a break. Use your breaks to do some exercise, take a walk, eat healthy snacks, or chat with a friend. Exercise can uplift your mood and increase productivity, so allocate some time to engage in physical activity. Sitting for prolonged periods can be detrimental to your health, so make sure to stand up and stretch periodically to avoid strain or tension. Set boundaries with your family or roommates If you share your home with family or roommates, it can be challenging to create boundaries between your personal and professional life. Communicate with them and set clear boundaries when you are working. Let them know when you are working, and ask them to avoid disturbing you during those times. If you can, close the door of your workspace to signal that you are busy, and avoid distractions. Working from home can be a refreshing change of pace, but it requires discipline, focus, and consistency to ensure productivity. By following these simple tips, you can create a routine that works for you and enhance your quality of life. Remember, consistency is the key to a successful work from home routine.
Read more10 Home Organization Hacks: Get Your Home in Order!
Is your home a cluttered mess? Do you have trouble finding things because they are buried under piles of stuff? It's time to get your house in order! A clean, organized home can reduce stress, improve productivity, and create a more peaceful environment. Plus, it's just more pleasant to look at! With these 10 home organization hacks, you'll be able to tackle any mess and get your home looking its best. 1. Label Everything This might seem obvious, but labeling everything is one of the best organization hacks out there. Not only will it help you find things quickly, but it will also encourage you to put things back where they belong. Be sure to use a clear, legible font and include as much information as possible (date, contents, etc.). 2. Create a Command Center Whether it's in your kitchen or by your front door, a command center can help you keep your life in order. Hang a calendar, to-do list, and important documents in a central location for easy access. 3. Use Vertical Space Walls are prime real estate when it comes to organization. Hang shelves, pegboards, and hooks to maximize storage space and keep things off the floor. 4. Sort Things by Frequency of Use Keep things you use often in easy-to-reach places and store things you use less frequently in harder-to-reach spots. This will save you time and frustration in the long run. 5. Repurpose Items Don't throw away items that can be used in a different way. Old mason jars can become storage containers and shoe organizers can hold cleaning products. Be creative! 6. Purge Regularly Getting rid of things you no longer need or use will create more space for the things that matter. Set aside time every few months to go through your belongings and donate or sell what you don't need. 7. Invest in Storage Containers Clear bins, baskets, and drawer dividers can do wonders for organization. Be sure to measure your space before buying and opt for stackable containers when possible. 8. Create Designated Spaces for Everything Assign a specific spot for each item in your home and make sure it stays there. This will prevent things from getting lost and keep your home looking neat and tidy. 9. File Everything Papers, bills, and important documents should be kept in a filing system. This can be done digitally or with physical files in a cabinet. Be sure to shred anything you no longer need to prevent clutter. 10. Use the 90/90 rule If you haven't used something in 90 days and don't plan to use it in the next 90, it's time to get rid of it. By following this rule, you'll prevent clutter from building up and create more space in your home. These 10 home organization hacks are just the beginning! With a little effort and creativity, you can turn your home into a clutter-free oasis. So, put on your favorite cleaning playlist, grab some storage containers, and get to work! Your home (and your peace of mind) will thank you for it.
Read moreHow to Save for a Down Payment
Buying your own house is one of the most exciting and important milestones in your life, but it comes with a considerable financial investment. One of the biggest barriers to homeownership is saving for a down payment. This can seem like a daunting task, but with careful budgeting and planning, you can make your dream of homeownership a reality. In this blog post, we’ll discuss a few tips and tricks to help you save for a down payment on a house. 1. Set Your Saving Goals The first step in saving for a down payment on a house is to set your saving goals. It’s important to know how much you need to save so that you can start planning your budget accordingly. A general rule of thumb for down payments is 20% of the home’s value. However, depending on your financial situation, you may be able to settle for less. Once you’ve set your goals, make a plan to reach them by regularly setting aside money from your paycheck. 2. Cut Your Expenses Saving for a down payment on a house may require some lifestyle adjustments. You can start by cutting your expenses, including eating out less, canceling subscription services you don't need, and avoiding big purchases, like a new car or luxury items. You can also make a habit of shopping for groceries in bulk, which can save you money in the long run. Reevaluating your expenses will allow you to free up more cash to put towards your down payment savings goal. 3. Look for Ways to Increase Income In addition to cutting expenses, you can look for ways to increase your income, such as working overtime, taking on a side job, or freelancing. Selling items you no longer need or want is also an effective way to make some extra cash. Whatever you decide to do, always remember to allocate the additional income into your savings account to increase your down payment fund. 4. Take Advantage of Government Programs There are many government programs that can help you save for a down payment. For example, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) has loan programs that permit buyers to purchase homes with as little as 3.5% down. There are also state-sponsored programs that offer down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers. Explore these options and see if you qualify for any of them. 5. Consider a High-Yield Savings Account If you’re putting money in the bank, consider opening a high-yield savings account which usually has a higher return compared to traditional savings accounts. This earns you more money on your money, and the interest grows over time. You can use this option to make sure your savings grow much faster with each passing day. Saving for a down payment on a house can be a challenging and often overwhelming process, but with discipline and commitment, you can achieve your goals. From setting your saving goals to cutting expenses, increasing your income, exploring government programs, and putting your money in a high-yield savings account, there are plenty of strategies and techniques that can help you save for your down payment. Keep in mind that every little bit counts, and before you know it, you’ll have enough to make a down payment on your dream home. Happy saving!
